Who is the desired audience for the Summer Institute? Are graduate students expected to attend?

Debra, The summer institute will be of most interest to professionals whose work supports graduate students through research and practice. Most members of CGC teach oral and/or written communication classes for graduate students, work in or direct (graduate) writing centers, conduct research into graduate communication (including completion and publication), write textbooks or research about graduate communication, or are involved in other professional development opportunities for graduates (e.g. workshops, websites). I hope that helps answer your questions. Grad students with an interest in teaching in or researching these areas are welcome to attend. ~ Nigel.
